Definity invites applications for an Underwriter, Regional Property, to assess commercial property risks, underwrite new submissions, negotiate renewals and endorsements, and provide technical underwriting guidance to brokers across the region.

The role requires 4–7 years of Commercial Lines underwriting experience, strong analytical and negotiation skills, and bilingual professional communication in French and English.

The Opportunity

Join our team as an Underwriter, Regional Property, where you'll play a key role in evaluating and underwriting commercial property risks while building strong relationships with brokers across the region. In this role, you'll assess new business opportunities, negotiate renewals and endorsements, and provide technical expertise to support profitable growth and exceptional customer service.

• Bilingual Professional communication skills in both French and English, written and verbal.
• A university degree, college diploma, or CIP designation.
• Strong computer skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• A collaborative mindset, adaptability, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.

Salary Range: $59,300- $109,200

High degree of proficiency with English required to service customers, both internal to the company and external, across Canada.

Actual salary for the role may vary depending on work location of the successful candidate and other factors including but not limited to, skills, education, experience, working conditions and the local labour market.
