Role Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to work in the AMD Graphics Verification Team as Sr. Staff, Graphics Verification Engineer. You will help bring to life cutting-edge designs within the Graphics Engineering Group, focusing on planning, building, and executing verification for features used in AMD’s product portfolio.

Candidate Profile

You should have a passion for modern graphics architecture, digital design, and verification. Excellent communication skills, ability to collaborate across different sites/time zones, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and a willingness to learn are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with architects, hardware, software, and firmware engineers to understand features to verify
• Develop test plan documentation considering interactions with other features and systems
• Estimate time for test development and environment modifications
• Build directed and random verification tests
• Debug test failures and work with teams to resolve issues
• Review and modify coverage metrics to meet requirements
• Develop strategies for performance testing and defect resolution

Preferred Experience

• Proficiency in IP-level ASIC verification
• Knowledge of graphics architecture
• Experience debugging RTL code with simulation tools
• Strong background in C++, preferably on Linux, with exposure to Windows
• Experience developing verification frameworks and testbenches
• Knowledge of Verilog, SystemVerilog, C, and C++
• Experience automating workflows in distributed environments
• Exposure to simulation profiling and acceleration
• Leadership or mentorship experience is a plus

Academic Credentials

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering preferred
