Job summary

Loblaw Companies Limited in Canada is seeking a Senior Security Specialist, iDaaS to support and enhance identity services across enterprise applications, ensuring secure access and proper authentication controls.

You will configure Okta, implement SSO/MFA, integrate with SAML/OIDC, and collaborate with security, engineering and business teams to deliver scalable IAM solutions.

The role emphasizes documentation, change control, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced technology environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to troubleshoot complex Okta incidents and authentication issues, perform RCA, and implement effective solutions.
• Experience configuring Okta workflows, policies, and application integrations.

• Support user lifecycle management, authentication policies, and access policies.
• Assist with application onboarding, deployments, and platform upgrades following change control processes.

• Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and runbooks for knowledge sharing.

Senior Security Specialist, iDaaS (Identity as a Service)

As part of the Identity and Access Management (IAM) team, the Senior Security Specialist, iDaaS supports and enhances our identity services, ensuring secure and reliable access to enterprise applications while maintaining appropriate authentication and access controls to safeguard our assets.

What you will do:

• Provide hands-on technical and operational support for Okta, ensuring platform stability, availability, and reliability.
• Troubleshoot complex Okta incidents and production issues, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and implement sustainable solutions to prevent recurring issues.
• Review, configure, and update Okta workflows, policies, configurations, and integrations to address operational requirements and improve platform performance.
• Design, implement, and support Single Sign-On (SSO) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) solutions for enterprise applications.
• Configure and troubleshoot application integrations using SAML, OIDC/OAuth, and related authentication and federation protocols.
• Support user lifecycle management, authentication policies, access policies, application assignments, and identity-related integrations within Okta.
• Support application onboarding, configuration changes, deployments, and platform upgrades while following established change and release management processes.
• Partner with application, security, engineering, infrastructure, and business teams to resolve technical issues and deliver secure and scalable identity solutions.
• Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, operational runbooks, and troubleshooting procedures while contributing to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

What you bring:

• Strong hands-on experience administering, supporting, and maintaining Okta in a large enterprise environment.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex Okta incidents and authentication issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions.
• Experience configuring and maintaining Okta workflows, authentication policies, access policies, application integrations, and platform configurations.
• Experience using GitHub to review, update, and manage code and configuration changes, including supporting operational fixes and enhancements through established code review and deployment processes.
• Strong hands-on experience implementing and supporting SSO and MFA solutions across enterprise applications.
• Strong understanding of identity and federation standards, including SAML, OIDC/OAuth, and related authentication protocols.
• Experience troubleshooting application integrations, authentication failures, user provisioning, access assignments, and connectivity issues.
• Knowledge of Okta user lifecycle management, Universal Directory, groups, application assignments, and identity governance concepts.
• Strong understanding of IAM security principles, authentication controls, conditional access, and identity security best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate technical issues into security, business, and operational risk.
• Ability to collaborate across technical and business teams and clearly communicate technical issues, root causes, solutions, and recommendations to diverse audiences.
