Job summary

Loblaw Companies Limited is hiring a Data Analytics & Reporting professional to support supply chain data needs across Canada. You will design, build, and automate datasets, validate data cubes, and deliver insights through multiple BI platforms.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of experience, strong communication, and a hands-on ability to work both independently and in teams, including remote collaboration.

• Support business users with systems and process inquiries; troubleshoot and train on forecasting standard methodologies.

• Create visual insights and applications across multiple platforms.
• Validate and test data cubes and solutions.
• Share knowledge on data design principles and validation techniques.
• Research new techniques and train team members on data mining, automation, and BI development.
• Implement tools to monitor data processes and maintain data integrity.
• Support supply chain systems changes by defining data requirements and maintaining data solutions.
• Demonstrate technical expertise to internal/external teams related to data in supply chain.
• Liaise with IT to access data and ensure stability of Supply Chain Data, Analytics, & Reporting.

What you'll do:

• Execute agile methodologies to request, design, build, document, and automate datasets from both structured and unstructured sources necessary to support the Supply Chain Data, Analytics, & Reporting
• Create visual insights and applications across multiple platforms

• Liaise with IT and various departments to access data, then ensuring stability and accessibility to the Supply Chain Data, Analytics, & Reporting and its stakeholders
• Research and review technologies and products to simplify tasks, remove redundancies, while improving stability and performance

What you bring:

• Above average analytical skills and problem solving skills
• Strong communication, interpersonal, facilitation and presentation skills required for communicating to all levels within the organization
• A self-starter with demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast paced work environment
• Able to effectively manage multiple projects and prioritize work in order to meet deadlines
• Proven ability to respond to new situations and work in a constantly changing environment
• 3-5 years of related work experience
• University or College degree in technical field (Computer Science, Engineering, etc.)
• Database and programming experience should include Looker, SAS, Teradata, Visual Basic, Oracle, Hana, Unix Scripting, Hadoop, SQL, My SQL, Power BI, HTML/Java, Python MicroStrategy, Power Apps, Big Query, MS Data Factory, Data Studio
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite of products
• Logistics experience preferred
• Preferred experience in Project Management and resource planning, demonstrating effective and timely completion of projects
• Certification in 6 Sigma, Lean, Supply Chain Logistics or other related technical skills highly sought
• Ability to identify new business and data opportunities
• Demonstrated ability to convert abstract or undefined tasks and problems into concrete solutions
• Ability to work both independently and in a team dynamic both in office and remotely
• Ability to learn new concepts, technologies, and methodologies in a fast paced and ever-changing industry
