Role Overview

The Sr. Salesforce Engineer is responsible for designing and developing on the Salesforce platform for complex business and technology initiatives across various lines of business. This includes managing day-to-day operations of Salesforce applications, providing thought leadership, resolving production issues, and advocating for efficiency and continual improvement as part of our modernization efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Analyze and estimate effort for new scope and requirements.
  2. Design and develop solutions on the Salesforce platform for multiple complex initiatives, ensuring operational stability.
  3. Stay updated on modern technologies and best practices; recommend new technologies and processes.
  4. Act as the Subject Matter Expert and manage administrative functions for Salesforce.
  5. Support business teams in using Salesforce effectively, focusing on configuration over customization.
  6. Investigate failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes; utilize defect tracking tools for detailed error reporting.
  7. Collaborate with product owners and test engineers to support QA, review test plans, and improve test automation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  1. Minimum 5 years of experience in Salesforce, with overall 10+ years in enterprise systems.
  2. Proficiency in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and Integration Patterns.
  3. Experience integrating Salesforce with other cloud applications using REST, SOAP, Talend, Informatica, Mulesoft.
  4. Knowledge of deployment processes and release pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Git).
  5. Understanding of packaged deployments, Metadata API, and Ant.
  6. At least 1 year of experience with Salesforce Lightning Components and Aura Framework.
  7. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  8. At least 2 Salesforce certifications (to be validated before joining).
  9. Experience with Financial Services Cloud and Salesforce DX.
  10. Ability to work in cross-functional teams and familiarity with agile methodologies like SCRUM/Kanban.
