About the role:

Barry Callebaut is seeking a dynamic Manager to plan and implement sales activities, products, and programs targeting select accounts in the Eastern Region of Canada. The role requires strategic relationship building, opportunity identification, and proactive account management skills.

Key responsibilities include:
  1. Develop and implement strategic sales plans, programs, and forecasts to meet product and service objectives; manage sales budgets including volume and margin targets.
  2. Create account plans to achieve annual volume and margin goals, foster high wallet share, and develop new business opportunities including strategic volumes and deal closures.
  3. Drive new business growth through product development, building relationships with customer R&D stakeholders, managing key project activities, and steering internal R&D efforts.
  4. Establish and maintain relationships with customer stakeholders across procurement, R&D, QA, marketing, etc., and pursue higher-level engagement within accounts.
  5. Lead sales forecasting activities to ensure KPI adherence; support supply chain and planning to meet customer volumes and projects, including footprint initiatives.
  6. Represent the company at trade events to promote our brand and strengthen account relationships.
  7. Participate in global or regional strategic account governance and negotiate agreements as needed.
About you:
  • Advanced degree with 8-10 years of sales, commercial, or account management experience in the food industry or related fields. Master’s degree is a plus but not required.
  • Proven sales management experience and ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Experience developing strategic account relationships, with demonstrated results in business growth and margin expansion.
  • Strong quantitative skills and ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a sales team.
  • Professional conduct and sound judgment.
  • Customer/client focus, leadership, presentation skills, problem-solving, results orientation, strategic thinking, technical capacity, and fluency in French and English.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
