Job description

Petro-Canada Lubricants Inc. (PCLI), an HF Sinclair company, is seeking a Sr Sales Manager based out of their home office in Western Canada. Reporting to the Regional Manager, Energy Sales, the Sales Manager is responsible for generating new lubricant sales while maintaining and expanding existing customer relationships. This role focuses on servicing gas plant and conventional accounts within the commercial and industrial sectors across the assigned geographic territory. Additionally, the position will play a key role in supporting and managing several strategic head office relationships located within the region.

Job Duties
  • Identify potential new customers and develop appropriate account plans to acquire the business
  • Service existing accounts with a high level of customer service
  • Grow the share of business with existing customers
  • Manage head office relationships to help grow their lubricants’ businesses
  • Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their Manager, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion
Experience
  • Business to business (B2B) sales experience
  • Strong technical experience
  • Experience within the lubricants industry is preferred
  • Sales experience within, oil and gas, drilling and construction companies is preferred
Education Level
  • Post-secondary education required however, a combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Ability to deal effectively with customers at various levels, including field operations, area supervisors, maintenance personnel and senior management

  • Previous experience in formulating and executing key client account plans with a focus on a solution-selling methodology

  • Computer literacy to ensure efficient communication and maintenance of accounts
  • Demonstrate proactive continuous improvement and initiative to build best in class processes with excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams as well as working independently with minimal supervision
  • Experience using SAP and customer relationship management (CRM) mobile sales
Work Conditions
  • This position requires the incumbent to operate from his/her home office in Alberta (Preference Red Deer and/or Calgary area)
  • This position will cover the mid to southern Alberta, southern Saskatchewan regions
  • A company vehicle allowance is provided
  • Travel will be required to manage and grow this sales territory
