The Select Group is currently hiring for a Sr. Project Manager to join as a resource for one of our clients within the Telecommunications industry that will be working Remotely but must be local to the GTA (Greater Toronto Area). This Manager will help oversee the implementation of a new FP&A tool into automotive foam business unit, enhancing their reporting, dashboarding and analytics. Ideally we are searching for a Mid-Level Project Manager possessing a minimum of five years of enterprise level experience within a PMO, managing Financial department projects from FP&A to consolidation of financial systems. SR PROJECT MANAGER REQUIREMENTS:

1. Minimum of five (5) years direct work experience working as a project manager in a corporate IT environment in medium to large organizations under a PMO
2. Demonstrated experience in leading a technical project team deploying Consolidation, Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) projects. Preference given for Prophix
3. Experience in business process mapping, functional requirements gathering and functional scope management
4. Experience in creating detailed financial plans and budgets (Planning and Budgeting), predicting future financial performance and creating models to simulate different scenarios (Forecasting and Modeling)

Management and Performance Reporting:

1. Monitoring and reporting on financial performance to support decision-making
2. Demonstrated experience and ability in successfully utilizing “soft skills” or “people skills”

SR PROJECT MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Provide day to day direction to the project technical team and weekly project status to the sponsor (or Program Manager), local Manager, PMO, and main stakeholders – ensuring that deliverables are delivered with quality and on schedule
2. Establish work plan and staffing for project activities, iterations or phases, and arrange for recruitment or assignment of project personnel
3. Ensure resource availability by negotiating internal resources or external ones
4. Implement project communication plan
5. Perform risk assessment and implement mitigation plans
6. Ensure that project goals are accomplished and in line with business objectives
7. Assign duties, responsibilities and scope of authority to project personnel
8. Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses
