Senior Project Manager (Healthcare Technology Projects)

Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex healthcare technology projects focused on upgrading or replacing end-of-life systems that support the delivery of community care services. This role will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards while managing a diverse group of stakeholders across healthcare, technical, and vendor organizations.

Project & Integration Management

• Develop and maintain project charters and project management plans.
• Direct and manage project work through all phases of delivery.
• Monitor and control project progress, risks, issues, and changes.
• Manage project knowledge and ensure successful project closure.

Scope, Schedule & Budget Management

• Collect and document business and technical requirements.
• Define project scope and work breakdown structures (WBS).
• Develop and maintain project schedules.
• Estimate costs, manage budgets, and control project expenditures.

Resource & Team Management

• Plan and manage project resources.
• Coordinate and lead cross-functional project teams.
• Monitor resource utilization and project performance.

Communications & Stakeholder Management

• Develop and execute communication plans.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement and ensure alignment on project objectives.

Risk & Vendor Management

• Identify, assess, and manage project risks and dependencies.
• Develop and implement mitigation strategies.
• Manage complex vendor relationships and procurement activities.

Quality Management

• Ensure project deliverables meet organizational standards and quality expectations.
• Monitor project outcomes and continuous improvement opportunities.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience as a Project Manager, Project Development Officer, or Project Officer supporting large, complex projects.
• Minimum 4 years of experience working with BC health organizations such as PHSA, VCH, PHC, or the BC Ministry of Health.
• Experience leading large, complex IT projects involving multiple healthcare organizations and stakeholders.
• Experience leading enterprise strategic initiatives in a senior project leadership capacity.
• Strong working knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex vendor relationships.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project.
