Job summary

Apex Systems is seeking an Infrastructure Project Manager to drive the migration of Informatica infrastructure from on-prem to the cloud for a major Canadian bank client. The role requires coordinating cross-functional teams, managing risks, and delivering cloud-based solutions in a hybrid setting (1 day a week downtown).

• Bachelor's degree required, related field preferred.
• Proven experience as a Project Manager, preferably in Cloud or infrastructure.
• Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficient in Jira, Confluence, and ServiceNow.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive project plans for migration of Informatica infrastructure to the cloud.
• Provide guidance on Informatica configurations and best practices for migrating workloads to the cloud.
• Communicate with stakeholders and provide project updates, identify risks, and escalate issues as needed.
• Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure a smooth migration.
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Oversee QA processes to ensure data and application integrity post-migration.
• Create and maintain project documentation and generate progress reports for stakeholders.
• Stay up-to-date with cloud technologies and contribute to process improvements.

Infrastructure Project Manager Apex Systems is a global IT services provider and our staffing practice has an opening for an Infrastructure Project Manager where you will play a pivotal role in driving the migration of Informatica infrastructure from on-prem to the cloud, to place at our client, a top Canadian Bank Client: A top Canadian Bank Terms: ContractLocation: Hybrid- 1 day a week downtown

Key Responsibilities

• Project Planning and Strategy:Develop and execute comprehensive project plans for the migration of Informatica infrastructure to the cloud.Collaborate with stakeholders to define migration strategies, goals, and objectives.
• Informatica Expertise:Possess deep knowledge of Informatica technologies and their configurations.Provide guidance on best practices for migrating and optimizing Informatica workloads in a cloud environment.
• Stakeholder Management:Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and business units.Engage with senior management to provide project updates, identify risks, and elevate issues as needed.
• Resource Coordination:Coordinate resources, both internal and external, to ensure a smooth migration process.Work closely with technical teams to address challenges and ensure alignment with project timelines.
• Risk Management:Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.Proactively address challenges that may arise during the migration process.
• Quality Assurance:Implement and oversee quality assurance processes to ensure the integrity of data and applications post-migration.Conduct thorough testing to validate the functionality and performance of the migrated systems.
• Documentation and Reporting:Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.Generate regular progress reports for stakeholders and management.
• Cloud Technology Adoption:Stay abreast of the latest cloud technologies and trends.Contribute to the continuous improvement of cloud migration processes.Cloud experience with AWS or Azure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Project Manager, preferably in the field of Cloud or infrastructure.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficient in using project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, and ServiceNow.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
