OnX seeks a Senior Practice Consultant – Data & AI to lead multicloud data/AI projects in Canada. You will guide design and delivery of data platforms, analytics, and AI/ML solutions across Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud, blending pre-sales architecture with hands-on leadership.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in data architecture, analytics, or AI/ML consulting with demonstrated pre-sales and delivery experience.
• Proven experience as a multicloud architect, delivering data/AI solutions across at least two cloud platforms.
• Deep expertise in modern data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, Azure Synapse/Fabric, AWS Redshift) and AI/ML tooling.
• Certifications across multiple cloud providers (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/Data Science or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Partner with sales and account teams to scope, design, and present Data & AI solutions during the pre-sales cycle.
• Lead technical discovery sessions with clients to assess current-state data/AI maturity and define target architectures across multicloud environments.
• Architect end-to-end, multicloud solutions spanning data engineering, data governance, analytics/BI, and AI/ML platforms on Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud.
• Advise clients on cloud platform selection and workload placement based on cost, performance, and data residency requirements.
• Mentor and develop junior consultants and engineers within the practice.
• Contribute to practice growth through thought leadership, whitepapers, and internal enablement content.

Position Summary

The Senior Practice Consultant – Data & AI serves as a trusted multicloud architect and solution lead within OnX's Data & AI practice, guiding clients through the design and delivery of data platforms, analytics, and AI/ML solutions across Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud. This role blends pre‑sales solution architecture with hands‑on delivery leadership, and contributes directly to shaping the practice's offerings and capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with sales and account teams to scope, design, and present Data & AI solutions during the pre‑sales cycle
• Lead technical discovery sessions with clients to assess current‑state data/AI maturity and define target architectures across multicloud environments
• Architect end-to-end, multicloud solutions spanning data engineering, data governance, analytics/BI, and AI/ML platforms on Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud
• Advise clients on cloud platform selection and workload placement based on cost, performance, and data residency requirements
• Develop statements of work, level‑of‑effort estimates, and solution architecture documentation
• Provide delivery oversight and technical leadership on Data & AI engagements, ensuring solutions meet client requirements and OnX quality standards
• Stay current on Data & AI and multicloud technology trends (cloud‑native data platforms, MLOps, generative AI, data governance frameworks) and translate them into practice offerings
• Mentor and develop junior consultants and engineers within the practice
• Contribute to practice growth through thought leadership, whitepapers, and internal enablement content
• Support vendor and partner relationships across Microsoft, AWS, Google Cloud, Databricks, and Snowflake relevant to the Data & AI ecosystem

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in data architecture, analytics, or AI/ML consulting, with demonstrated pre‑sales and delivery experience
• Proven experience as a multicloud architect, designing and delivering data/AI solutions across at least two of Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud
• Deep expertise in modern data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, Azure Synapse/Fabric, AWS Redshift) and AI/ML tooling
• Experience leading technical discovery and solution design for enterprise clients
• Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and data security practices across cloud platforms
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for business audiences
• Relevant certifications across multiple cloud providers (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS, and/or Google Cloud data/AI or architecture certifications) preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field, or equivalent experience

Pay range: $110,000 - $173,000 The pay range set out above reflects OnX's anticipated compensation for this position at the time of posting. The successful candidate's base pay will be determined within this range, taking into account factors such as primary work location, role scope and responsibilities, required qualifications, and the individual's experience, education, skills, and knowledge. OnX does not request or rely on a candidate's salary history in setting compensation for this role. Certain positions may also be eligible for additional compensation, such as discretionary bonuses or sales‑based variable pay, in accordance with the applicable plan terms.
