Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in cloud architecture or infrastructure consulting with pre-sales and delivery experience.
• Deep expertise in Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud platforms.
• Experience leading cloud migration and modernization engagements for enterprise clients.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, networking, and FinOps practices.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Partner with sales to scope, design, and present public cloud solutions in pre-sales cycles.
• Lead technical discovery and cloud readiness assessments for clients.
• Design migration and landing zone architectures across major clouds.
• Develop statements of work, LOE estimates, and architecture documentation.

Position Summary

The Senior Practice Consultant - Public Cloud serves as a trusted technical advisor within OnX's Public Cloud practice, leading solution design and delivery for clients migrating to and operating within public cloud environments (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud). This role blends pre-sales architecture with delivery leadership, and contributes directly to shaping the practice's cloud offerings.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with sales and account teams to scope, design, and present public cloud solutions during the pre-sales cycle
• Lead technical discovery and cloud readiness assessments for clients
• Design cloud migration, modernization, and landing zone architectures across Azure, AWS, and/or Google Cloud
• Develop statements of work, level-of-effort estimates, and solution architecture documentation
• Provide delivery oversight and technical leadership on public cloud engagements
• Stay current on public cloud technology trends (FinOps, cloud-native architecture, containers/Kubernetes, security) and translate them into practice offerings
• Mentor and develop junior consultants and engineers within the practice
• Contribute to practice growth through thought leadership and internal enablement content
• Support vendor and partner relationships (Microsoft, AWS, Google Cloud) relevant to the Public Cloud ecosystems.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in cloud architecture or infrastructure consulting, with demonstrated pre-sales and delivery experience
• Deep expertise in one or more public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)
• Experience leading cloud migration and modernization engagements for enterprise clients
• Strong understanding of cloud security, networking, and cost optimization (FinOps) practices
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Professional Cloud Architect) preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience

Pay range: $110,000 - $173,000

The pay range set out above reflects OnX's anticipated compensation for this position at the time of posting. The successful candidate's base pay will be determined within this range, taking into account factors such as primary work location, role scope and responsibilities, required qualifications, and the individual's experience, education, skills, and knowledge.
