Job summary

OnX seeks a senior Data & AI architect to lead pre-sales and delivery across multicloud environments (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud). You will design end-to-end data platforms, guide workload placement, and mentor junior staff.

You will collaborate with sales, account teams, and clients to shape architectures, governance, and data security while translating complex tech into business value.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data architecture, analytics, or AI/ML consulting with pre-sales and delivery experience.
• Proven multicloud architect delivering data/AI solutions across two of Azure, AWS, Google Cloud.
• Deep expertise in modern data platforms and AI/ML tooling.
• Experience leading technical discovery and enterprise design.
• Strong governance, quality, and security practices across clouds.
• Excellent communication to translate tech for business audiences.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Partner with sales and account teams to scope, design, and present Data & AI solutions during the pre-sales cycle


• Lead technical discovery sessions with clients to assess current-state data/AI maturity and define target architectures across multicloud environments


• Architect end-to-end, multicloud solutions spanning data engineering, data governance, analytics/BI, and AI/ML platforms on Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud


• Advise clients on cloud platform selection and workload placement based on cost, performance, and data residency requirements


• Develop statements of work, level-of-effort estimates, and solution architecture documentation


• Provide delivery oversight and technical leadership on Data & AI engagements, ensuring solutions meet client requirements and OnX quality standards


• Stay current on Data & AI and multicloud technology trends (cloud-native data platforms, MLOps, generative AI, data governance frameworks) and translate them into practice offerings


• Mentor and develop junior consultants and engineers within the practice


• Contribute to practice growth through thought leadership, whitepapers, and internal enablement content


• Support vendor and partner relationships across Microsoft, AWS, Google Cloud, Databricks, and Snowflake relevant to the Data & AI ecosystem

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in data architecture, analytics, or AI/ML consulting, with demonstrated pre-sales and delivery experience


• Proven experience as a multicloud architect, designing and delivering data/AI solutions across at least two of Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud


• Deep expertise in modern data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, Azure Synapse/Fabric, AWS Redshift) and AI/ML tooling


• Experience leading technical discovery and solution design for enterprise clients


• Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and data security practices across cloud platforms


• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for business audiences


• Relevant certifications across multiple cloud providers (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS, and/or Google Cloud data/AI or architecture certifications) preferred
