Job summary

Canada West Land is seeking a Sr. Land Analyst to work on-site in Calgary, responsible for supporting land management activities across Canada West Land’s key industries.

You will review and maintain land agreements, titles, and related documentation while ensuring data accuracy within internal systems and client platforms. Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with experience reviewing land agreements, titles, survey plans, and related documentation.
  • Proficiency with land and data management systems, including document management tools, mapping software, and spreadsheets.
  • Ability to interpret and apply regulatory, municipal, and industry requirements relevant to land development and resource projects.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in multidisciplinary teams and engaging with clients and stakeholders.
  • Previous experience in land administration, land analysis, or land management within sectors such as oil and gas, municipal infrastructure, or renewables.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy, record integrity, and process consistency.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g., Land Administration, Business, Geography, Resource Management) or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with Indigenous relations considerations and land-related stakeholder engagement is an asset.
  • Commitment to non-discriminatory, inclusive practices and professional conduct in all internal and external interactions.

Role Description The Sr. Land Analyst is an on-site role based in Calgary, AB, responsible for supporting land management activities across Canada West Land’s key industries. This role involves reviewing, interpreting, and maintaining land agreements, titles, and related documentation, while ensuring data accuracy within internal systems and client platforms. The Sr. Land Analyst collaborates closely with project managers, land agents, Indigenous relations specialists, and other technical team members to coordinate land-related work and provide timely information and analysis. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing reports and summaries for clients, tracking project status, resolving land-related discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and contractual obligations. This position also supports process improvements, contributes to best practices for data management, and may mentor junior team members in land analysis workflows.
