Position Overview

The Senior Forecast Analyst is responsible for analyzing and maintaining the system sales forecast, which is a key input into organizational planning processes. The analyst should have advanced knowledge of retail forecasting and experience with SAP forecasting systems or other "best in class" platforms. Responsibilities include ensuring forecast completeness and data integrity, aligning with the corporate S&OP process, liaising with cross-functional partners for sales forecasts of new articles and events, and maintaining F&R system parameters that drive automated forecasting and replenishment systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the Forecasting & Replenishment system for all products within assigned areas.
  • Provide key reporting to Inventory Management, Merchandising, Logistics, and Senior Management.
  • Review and analyze historical data and trends to forecast demand for import and domestic goods held at Stores/Distribution Centres.
  • Monitor recent sales performance and adjust forecasts accordingly.
  • Track KPIs weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually, including store/DC performance.
  • Manage forecast and replenishment parameters, exceptions, and communicate product status and updates to stores and DCs.
  • Liaise with Merchants to ensure execution of category S&OP processes.
  • Maintain SAP forecasting and replenishment parameters and identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Provide SAP Super user expertise and update parameters for high, medium, and low sellers.
  • Coach and mentor junior analysts, share product flow knowledge, and solve inquiries.

Reporting and Work Conditions

Reports to Manager or Sr Manager, Supply Chain. Limited travel required. Hybrid work model with office setting, computer work, virtual meetings, and support calls. Extended sitting and repetitive tasks involved.

Minimum Qualifications
  • University or College Degree in business, science/engineering, or supply chain management background.
  • 3-5 years of analytical experience, preferably in retail, focusing on forecasting and inventory management.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and business acumen skills.
  • Self-directed with a flexible approach.
Additional Assets
  • Experience with financial analysis, sales analysis, and analytical techniques.
  • Experience with retail forecasting models and replenishment.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills; proficiency in PowerPoint and Tableau is a plus.
  • Bilingual in French and English is an asset.
