Senior Forecasting Analyst

What you'll do

  • Lead the development and introduction of comprehensive forecasting process to support the Pro Hockey Life banner.
  • Create a product level forecast for regular, promotional, and seasonal activities (In Season Management) using JDA Software and/or other leading-edge in-house tools.
  • Support the development of sound financial models utilizing various data sources. Understand the financial consequences of business decisions to ensure all drivers of performance are reflected in analysis.
  • Monitor demand variances to forecast and formulate corrective actions to ensure organization targets are being met.
  • Manage against Open to Buy plans and inventory trends annually.
  • Work closely with fellow Category team members including Category Business Managers in Merchandising, Category Business Planners, Marketing Promotional Planners, and Allocation Analyst.
  • Provide proactive analyses on areas of the business which are influenced by economic/market shifts.
  • Effectively manage communications and relationships with key stakeholders to gain alignment on new processes and implementation plan, lead change management strategy.
  • Success in this role is measured by continuous improvement in reduction of Forecast Error/Bias and improvement in Store Service Level.

What you bring

  • Undergraduate or post-graduate degree in Engineering, Math, Business, or Commerce, with demonstrated interest in operations and supply chain.
  • 2+ Years Work Experience, which can include Co-op or Internship experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, SQL, Power BI, and automation tools.
  • Strong working knowledge of popular programming languages such as Python and R.
  • Work experience in replenishment roles is highly valued, especially data-driven, analytical, or process improvement experience. Additional experience in forecasting/data modeling will be beneficial.
