Job Title : Facilities Coordinator

FLSA Status : Exempt, not eligible for overtime

Summary : Manages a company’s HVAC systems, roads, grounds, buildings, security and fire response equipment to ensure that the workspace is safe, secure and functional. The duties include working with and managing service providers, ensuring the facility meets safety regulations, managing the mill’s insurance carrier requirements, as well as coordinating project, maintenance and renovation work.

  • Primary resource for troubleshooting and managing contractor work on HVAC systems
  • Managing contractors working within this position’s area of responsibility
  • Planning and scheduling project work, routine maintenance and emergency repairs with outside vendors for building siding and roofing systems
  • Scheduling routine inspections, maintenance and emergency repairs with outside vendors for fire sprinkler and alarm systems
  • Ensuring proper security systems are in place and functioning at the site, including collaborating with and managing security system vendors
  • Managing all aspects of the mill’s insurance carriers requirements and corrective actions. This includes scheduling meetings, leading site walkthroughs, and leading / ensuring followup and completion of all open corrective actions.
  • Creating reports on maintenance, repairs, safety and other occurrences for management review
  • Collaborating with management on budgeting for facility needs
  • Managing capital and major maintenance expense projects within the scope of this position’s responsibility

Qualifications And Skills

  • HVAC license and / or comparable work experience

  • The noise level within the office is usually quiet and the majority of the work associated with this position occurs outdoors.
  • Occasionally the employee is exposed to the Mill work environment which can be hot, and the noise level is loud.
  • Frequently exposed to wet and / or humid conditions
  • Occasionally exposed to loud, moving equipment
  • Employees are required to wear Personal Protective Equipment [PPE] such as : hard hat, steel-toed boots, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection and occasionally fall protection.

Pay Transparency : The starting annual salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $100,000 annual. New-Indy provides a variety of benefits to employees, including medical, dental and vision insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO). Please note that the compensation information is a good faith estimate for this position and assumes a rate based on location and experience.
