Job description

Title: Sr. Business Analyst

Location: Vancouver, BC

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will be working as part of the eCommerce and Digital Marketing group at "Client" Digital. You will lead business requirements gathering and documentation (user stories and epics) for three global regions, working closely with peers. Your role will go beyond typical requirements analysis, involving current state analysis, envisioning and defining new business architecture, and building business cases and models for new solutions, products, and a new business group within "Client".

What You'll Do:
  • Lead the gathering and documenting of detailed business requirements (user stories and epics) from diverse stakeholders.
  • Engage with customers, analyze business requirements, and conduct needs and gap analysis by asking insightful questions.
  • Identify business objectives, strategies, and needs; develop high-level business cases and briefs for digital solutions, products, or processes.
  • Perform process mapping, scoping, and design of business architecture.
  • Influence strategic planning and contribute to program and project leadership.
  • Recommend impactful solutions to enhance profitability or organizational effectiveness.
  • Present and influence senior and executive management, balancing technical and business considerations.
  • Mentor colleagues and demonstrate thought leadership.
  • Manage relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with other teams within "Client" Digital and across regions to understand and clarify business processes and requirements.
  • Coordinate with Technical Delivery Teams to clarify technical solutions for new and existing functionalities.
  • Foster an open, collaborative environment.
  • Challenge the status quo by identifying unseen opportunities.
Who You Are (Skills & Knowledge):
  • Undergraduate and postgraduate education in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, or Marketing; an MBA is a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Data-driven and customer-obsessed mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a passion for engaging with customers and teams.
  • Proficient in breaking down complex systems and designing thoughtful solutions.
  • Knowledge of project methodologies like PMP, Waterfall, Agile/Scrum, and Lean.
  • Familiarity with JIRA is helpful.
  • Expertise in Excel, PowerPoint, and similar tools.
  • Strong persuasion skills, capable of captivating audiences during presentations.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, balancing speed and quality aligned with business needs.
  • A sense of humor and a positive attitude.
  • Ambassadorial qualities, passionate about sharing "Client" Digital's vision.
