Job summary

The Sr. Analyst, Application Reliability Engineering - Operations at Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce ensures stability and performance of supported applications through proactive monitoring and automation.

You will lead post-incident actions, mentor peers, and participate in on-call rotations to maintain 24x7 coverage. The role supports telemetry, observability, and SLI/SLO alignment across containerized AI-enabled apps.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in SRE/DevOps and supporting containerized applications.
• Hands-on with Dynatrace, Splunk, Azure and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with OpenShift or AKS environments.
• Familiar with DevSecOps practices and scripting.

Responsibilities

• Production Support: ensure stability of applications and infrastructure, resolve medium to complex incidents.
• Technology Focus: monitor services, identify improvements, and apply automation for toil reduction.

The role leads root cause analysis, documents findings, drives corrective actions from post-incident reviews, and participates in the on-call rotation while mentoring peers on operational best practices. This role will build and maintain dashboards, define alerting standards, lead telemetry instrumentation, validate observability coverage, and support SLI/SLO alignment across containerized and AI-enabled applications. Please note that this role has a requirement for on-call support (on a rotation) to ensure 24x7 support is maintained.At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. Identify and resolve medium to highly complex production problems for support of applications. Collaboratively work to identify root cause and define actions to eliminate recurrence. Maintain a strong knowledge of approaches, tools and techniques for anticipating, recognizing, and resolving technical problems.Technology Focus- Stay abreast of industry trends and play a key role in CIBC’s digital transformation by supporting multiple initiatives. Proactively monitor and analyze supported services to identify opportunities for improvement and use automation to streamline execution.Team Collaboration- Coordinate and/or execute implementation plans for new medium to complex application and maintenance updates. Enable others through regular knowledge sharing and engagement on projects and application support.Who you areYou can demonstrate 2-3 years experience in. SRE, DevOps, hands-on experience with Dynatrace, Splunk, Azure, DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, scripting, troubleshooting, and support for containerized applications in OpenShift or AKS environments.You put our clients first.
