Job summary

Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce is hiring a Financial Advisor to grow a client portfolio through relationship management, planning and exceptional service. You will provide tailored financial guidance across banking, investments and lending, while expanding your network within the local market.

The role emphasizes strong client relationships, regulatory compliance with CIRO-MFD and AMF licensing tracks, and a client-first approach to help clients reach today’s needs and tomorrow’s goals.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years experience in providing financial advice to clients and establishing relationships while achieving performance targets.
  • CIRO-MFD licensing required with current accreditation and good standing.
  • AMF licensing with CIFC/CSC or equivalent; CIRO-MFD licensing eligibility.
  • Québec licensing track and related courses (RRC, CIFC/CSC) desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Engage clients and build a dedicated portfolio with tailored financial advice across day‑to‑day banking, investments, lending and estate planning.
  • Develop local market insights and create sales plans to convert leads into new clients.
  • Foster community involvement and build referrals through networking and events.

You’re flexible to work our banking centre hours which may include evenings and weekends. You have current accreditation and good standing in The Canadian Securities Course (CSC)/Canadian Investments Funds Course (CIFC)/Investment Funds in Canada Course (IFC) and must meet eligibility requirements for CIRO-MFD licensing.You’re a certified professional (Quebec). You have current accreditation and good standing in AMF licensing; Successful completion of Canadian Investment Funds Course (CIFC) or the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) to support AMF (Autorité des Marchés Financiers) licensing, and Registered Retirement Consultant (RRC). It’s an asset if you’ve completed CSI/ICB Investment and Taxation Fundamentals Course - Quebec (0774) and CSI/ICB Legal & Ethical Aspects of Financial Planning Course (0790).Values matter to you.
