Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Technician to service and repair sprinkler systems across commercial, industrial, and residential sites. You will read blueprints and manuals, diagnose issues, and ensure code compliance while delivering strong customer service.

Required are a Sprinkler Journeyperson status with ASTTBC and Backflow certification, plus 4+ years of experience in the fire sprinkler industry. A union environment and relocation support are provided where applicable.

Qualifications

• Required Sprinkler Journeyperson with ASTTBC and Backflow certification.
• 4+ years of experience in Fire Sprinkler/Suppression.
• Experience reading blueprints, submittals, and operation manuals.

Responsibilities

• Receive service calls from Service Resource Center and assess malfunction.
• Inspect, test, and maintain sprinkler systems to code compliance.
• Contact customer representative to identify problems.
• Perform service and repairs on sprinkler systems for commercial, industrial and residential sites.
• Read blueprints, diagrams, submittals and manuals to diagnose equipment.
• Maintain safety and provide excellent customer service during visits.
• Participate in scheduled on-call rotation and on-site duties.
