Job summary

Canadian Tire Corporation’s Sports Partnerships team seeks a Consultant to manage day-to-day relationships with sport partners and support strategic season plans and activations that leverage partner assets. You’ll develop client relations and help achieve business objectives with strong communication and collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Sports Management/Marketing/Sponsorship, Event Management.
  • 3-5 years of proven experience in events, marketing, sponsorship and/or sports marketing.
  • Passionate about sport from grassroots to high performance.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities, deliver programs and tactics on time and on budget in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working in a cross-functional team across multiple banners.
  • Collaborative team player with relationship-building across groups.
  • Self-starter and ability to influence without authority.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and presentation skills.
  • Bilingual (FR/EN) an asset.
  • Ability to work within a matrix organization.
  • Ability to work nights or weekends on occasion.

Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day relationship management with CTC sport partners to maximize ROI for CTC.
  • Plan and implement short and long term partnership strategies with cross-functional teams.
  • Develop and execute plans and programs meeting business objectives.
  • Understand contracts, partnership terms and guidelines.
  • Provide guidance to teammates and stakeholders for initiatives.
  • Track measurements and report progress to ensure partnership ROI.
  • Create and refine strategic communications—writing, editing, presentations.
  • Support annual Sport Partnerships budgets.

What you’ll do

If you are looking to grow with a dynamic and collaborative team, work with top sport properties, marketing partners, athletes, and help break down barriers to sport, you probably belong here with us. The Consultant, Sports Partnerships will assist with the day-to-day relationship management with select CTC sport partners. They will support the planning and the execution of strategic season plans and activations that leverage available partner assets, develop client relations and support business objectives. The ideal candidate is one with sport and marketing acumen, project management experience and strong communication skills. Creativity, attention to detail, and a collaborative attitude are your pillars for success in this role.

  • Support the day-to-day relationship management with CTC sport partners to maximize ROI for CTC.
  • Work collaboratively with the Associate Manager, Sports Partnerships to plan and implement short and long term partnership strategies
  • Assist in developing and executing plans and programs, with cross- functional project teams, that meet business objectives
  • Understand contracts, partnership terms and guidelines
  • Provide experience and best practice-based support and guidance to teammates and stakeholders for executing initiatives.
  • Track measurements and report progress to ensure effectiveness of all partnerships and appropriate ROI.
  • Creative and strategic communications - writing, editing and presentation development.
  • Support the tracking of annual Sport Partnerships budgets.
What you bring
  • Post-secondary education in Sports Management/Marketing/Sponsorship, Event Management.

The Sports Partnerships team acts as a Center of Excellence and shared service within Canadian Tire Corporation (CTC), providing deep subject matter expertise in sport – from partnerships, marketing, IP & media rights management and athlete engagement. Through the power of sport this team leads the enterprise strategy for one of the largest sport sponsorship portfolios in Canada that ranges across amateur and professional sport and provides strategic counsel and activation support to CTC’s retail banners to integrate sport across our family of companies. This team is also responsible for leading the award winning Women In Sport initiative, the first 50/50 commitment by a Canadian brand to create an equitable investment across the sport portfolio by 2026.

Broadband Salary Range: $53,000 – $88,000.

Ourtypical hiring range is between $53,000 and $70,000. Salary decisions are also dependent on other factors such as your experience, industry benchmarks, internal equity and other role‑specific requirements. For critical roles, the compensation offering will be reviewed to ensure alignment with market rate and conditions and the unique value you bring to the role.
