Job summary

North Bay Regional Health Centre (NBRHC) seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist to deliver preschool services to children, families, and partners in the Greater Sudbury area. The role emphasizes innovative approaches and collaboration with caregivers and community partners.

Caslpo registration is required; new graduates are welcome and mentorship is available. A valid driver’s license and transportation are needed to serve multiple sites as required.

Qualifications

  • CASLPO registration is required to practice as an SLP.
  • New graduates are welcome to apply and will receive mentorship.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and reliability are essential.
  • Experience with preschoolers and group programs is an asset.
  • Telepractice experience is an asset; a valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide innovative speech-language pathology services to preschoolers and families.
  • Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and community partners in Sudbury and nearby areas.
  • Participate in program planning, delivery, and evaluation of services.

Department: Word Play/Jeux de Mots Preschool Speech & Language Service System

Initial competition is now closed. We are continuing to accept applications until a candidate is selected.

The Speech Language Pathologist will provide a range of innovative services to preschoolers, parents/caregivers and community partners in the Greater City of Sudbury, as well as occasionally in nearby municipalities.

Qualifications
  • College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO) registered
  • New graduates are welcome to apply (mentorship is available)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Work experience with preschoolers is an asset
  • Group programming experience is an asset
  • Hanen certification is an asset
  • Experience in virtual telepractice is an asset
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and provide own transportation
  • Ministry of Transportation Driver's Abstract required
  • Must demonstrate commitment to ensure your safety, the safety of fellow workers, patients, volunteers, and visitors
  • Must support and contribute to a culture of safety and prevention of adverse health events in this organization
  • Good attendance and work record required
  • Bilingualism (Advanced level English/French) is an asset
