Job summary

The Near North District School Board is hiring a Temporary Speech Language Pathologist to support East and North Regions. Effective September 2, 2026 to June 30, 2026 or the earlier return of the employee.

Location: Home base Almaguin Highlands Secondary School, with a North Bay secondary office. The SLP will assess and treat speech and language disorders for NNDSB students and travel to multiple locations as required.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology.
• Current CASLPO registration or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat communication disorders for NNDSB students.
• Provide itinerant Speech Language Pathology services across multiple locations as assigned.
• Collaborate with school teams to support students’ speech and language needs.

1.0 Temporary Speech Language Pathologist- Supporting East & North Regions

Effective September 2, 2026 to June 30, 2026 or the earlier return of the employee

Location : Home location will be Almaguin Highlands Secondary School, Secondary office location in North Bay

Reporting to the Principal of Special Education. The Speech Language Pathologist will provide assessment and treatment of communication disorders for students of the Near North District School Board.

As the Speech Language Pathologist, you will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to making a difference in the lives of the children and youth that we serve in the Near North District School Board.

Qualifications:

• Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology
• Current Registration in good standing with CASLPO or eligibility to register with CASLPO

Knowledge and Skills:

• Proven experience providing assessment, consultation and treatment services to support children with speech and language disorders
• Direct experience providing clinical supervision of Communication Disorders Assistants
• Willingness to undertake Itinerant duties providing Speech Language Pathology services in schools across the Near North District School Board
• Previous experience working with school-aged populations would be an asset
• Must possess own vehicle and ability to travel to multiple locations as assigned

Rate of Pay: $62.28 per hour inclusive of vacation pay and applicable statutory holiday pay
