Job summary

OSNS Child and Youth Development Centre in Penticton, BC seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist for full-time employment within the Early Intervention program. Position includes 1.0 FTE or 0.8 FTE options and a 1.0 18-month term, with some travel to outlying communities and a dependence on flexible hours.

You will join a dynamic multidisciplinary team, providing family-centred care, staff training, and community outreach as part of a not-for-profit organization dedicated to pediatric development.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current registration, or eligibility for registration, with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC
  • Registered or eligible for the Registry of Autism Service Providers (RASP)
  • Acceptable Criminal Record Check

Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team with other clinical and nonclinical team members
  • Provide staff support and training as required
  • Parent coaching and consultation
  • Family centered, culturally safe and sensitive care
  • On site, school visits, community outreach and home visits are all an essential part of this role
  • Collaboration and maintaining positive relationships internally and in the community
  • Other related duties as required

EI Full Time Penticton, BC $44.85 - $56.02 CAD per hour

Role: Speech-Language Pathologist positions

Responsible to: Early Intervention Supervisor & Autism Intervention Supervisor

Status: 1.0 FTE or 0.8 FTE option and a 1.0 18-month term available

Hours of Work: Monday-Friday 8:30 – 4:30 or 9:00 – 5:00 with flexibility in hours

Location: Penticton, BC with some travel to outlying communities

Classification: Wage Schedule I – HSA

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $44.85 to $56.02 hourly, based on experience and qualifications.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a team member who believes in clinical collaboration and knowledge sharing. A clinician who practices effective partnerships with families and has strong communication skills and pediatric clinical passion. OSNS emphasizes employee wellness, professional growth, and development. We hire character and train skills; mentorship is available. Join our team of 3 plus full-time SLP’s and therapy assistants.

Skills & Abilities
  • Pediatric experience preferred; however, a strong supportive team is available to support training and development
  • Ability to build and maintain effective, collaborative, and therapeutic relationships with clients, caregivers, and community partners to support optimal outcomes
  • Time management skills in a fast paced play based supportive environment
  • Ability to coordinate, lead or co lead educational groups with children, youth and caregivers
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Clinical judgment and competence
