Overview

We are hiring for a Casual Speech-Language Pathologist for the Penticton Regional Hospital. Shift times are 08:00-16:00 on a casual as needed basis. Casual means hours are not guaranteed and may vary. There are many careers with us that begin with casual employment and lead to temporary and permanent opportunities.

About The Position

The Speech-Language Pathologist is an autonomous professional who has expertise in typical development and disorders of communication as well as assessment and intervention in these areas. The Speech-Language Pathologist may work directly with clients and/or with their caregivers or other persons who regularly interact with them for the purpose of creating environments that promote optimal communication. The Speech-Language Pathologist contributes to the organization and the overall goals of the department/program quality assurance initiatives, meetings, research and education.

Penticton Regional Hospital (PRH) serves 90,000 residents across the South Okanagan and Similkameen Valley, functioning as a regional facility and secondary referral center. With 158 acute care beds, a 10 bed ICU and 102 extended care beds on site; we offer emergency, trauma, specialty, surgical, and outpatient services, alongside advanced diagnostic capabilities.
