Winnipeg School Division is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to work within Clinical Support Services. You will assess and treat students with a range of communication disorders, including AAC needs, and collaborate with schools and families to support educational goals.

Responsibilities include programming, therapy, and consultative services in a three-tier delivery model, under supervision of Clinical Support Services leadership. A commitment to equity and reconciliation is emphasized.

Qualifications

  • Must be registered or eligible for registration with CASLPM.
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology is required.
  • School Clinician Certificate preferred/required for term position.

Speech-Language Pathologist

Clinical Support Services, Winnipeg School Division, provides a wide range of multi-disciplinary services that help meet the educational, social, emotional and communication needs of students while working collaboratively with schools and families.

Job Details

Under the leadership and supervision of the Director of Clinical Support Services and Area Service Directors, the Speech-Language Pathologist will work as a member of the multi-disciplinary team in the Clinical Support Services Department of the Winnipeg School Division. The Speech-Language Pathologist will work collaboratively with school and program-based teams to support and promote student learning. The Speech-Language Pathologist will provide services to students who have a wide range of communication disorders, including students with complex communication needs and students requiring Augmentative and Alternative communication (AAC). This will include assessment, programming and therapeutic interventions, and consultative services within a 3-tiered service delivery model in the Winnipeg School Division.

Qualifications
  • Must be registered, or be eligible for registration, with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Manitoba (CASLPM)
  • Must have Master's Degree in in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Must be in possession of a current School Clinician Certificate (Speech-Language Pathology) (Those eligible for a School Clinician Certificate will also be considered, only for a Term position to start, as outlined in the certification requirements by Manitoba Education).
  • Must be able to work in a collaborative manner with school personnel and parents
  • Strong technology skills in order to complete all on-line recording and reporting requirements
  • Vehicle is required
