Company Description

Shining Stars Support Services for Persons with Autism Spectrum Disorder Inc., est. 2016, is a Behavioural Health Service Provider providing center based and in-home therapy services to children and youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Shining Stars School, est. 2023, is a Ministry of Education non-inspected alternative school supporting children and youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder ages 4-11.

Role Description

Shining Stars Support Services is seeking an individual to fill a temporary part-time position as a Speech-Language Pathologist with the Speech-Language department based out of the Mississauga site. The Speech-Language Pathologist is part of a team that supports our clients and supports the prevention, identification, assessment and treatment of speech, language and feeding challenges for our clients.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology.
  • One to two years of clinical experience working with children with special needs is an asset.
  • Completion of the AAC Foundations course preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Strong clinical skills in AAC, developmental delays/disorders and parent/caregiver coaching.
  • Registration with the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO).
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team setting.
  • Must possess a valid Ontario driver’s license and have access to a personal vehicle.

Location:

- Mississauga site (1700 Mazo Crescent) and surrounding areas for in-home services

Compensation Range: To be decided
