Bayshore HealthCare is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist in Brockville, Ontario. This role involves assessment, treatment, and education for clients needing Speech and Language Pathology interventions as per professional standards.
The ideal candidate should have a Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology and at least three years of relevant experience. A valid driver's license and registration with the College of Audiologists of Ontario are required.
Speech-Language Pathologist, under the direction of the Manager of Rehabilitation or Clinical Manager-Branch level, is responsible for completion of professional activities that include: assessment, treatment, education, and management of clients requiring Speech and Language Pathology intervention, in accordance with professional standards.
The Speech-Language Pathologist has an independent consulting relationship with the assigned location and reports to the Manager of Rehabilitation or Clinical Manager-Branch level, as appropriate.
Masters Degree or recognized equivalent in Speech-Language Pathology. Registered and in good standing with the College of Audiologists or Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario.
Preference of three years providing Speech-Language Pathology services. Experience completing in-home assessments and treatments; knowledge of auto insurance and legal system is an asset particularly medical/legal report writing.
Enjoy working with clients of all ages in multiple treatment environments. Strong communication (oral and written) and exceptional interpersonal and decision-making skills. Ability to handle difficult situations in an objective and consistent manner. Ability to work independently and to effectively collaborate with a team. Demonstrate basic knowledge of personal computers, and proficiency with secure email. Commitment to continued learning. Valid driver’s license.
The Speech-Language Pathologist must demonstrate ongoing competency in completing all duties and responsibilities of this job description, in response to changes by the regulating body, as well as agreed upon specific goals and objectives.
Performance will be reviewed on an ongoing basis with a formal review at the end of the three month probationary period and subsequently, on at least an annual basis. Input will be sought from employees and consultants at the branch and National Service Centre as applicable.
