Bayshore HealthCare in Peterborough, Ontario is looking for an Occupational Therapist to manage assessment, treatment, and education of clients in need of Occupational Therapy services. You will collaborate with health team members and maintain accurate clinical records while adhering to professional standards.
The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, be registered in good standing, and have a preference for three years of experience in the field. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.
The Occupational Therapist, under the direction of the Director Therapy & Rehab, Manager of Rehab, or designate, is responsible for the completion of professional activities that include assessment, treatment, education, and management of clients requiring Occupational Therapy intervention, in accordance with professional standards.
The Occupational Therapist reports to the Director Therapy & Rehabilitation, Manager of Rehab or designate as appropriate.
Masters Degree or recognized equivalent in Occupational Therapy. Registered and in good standing with College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
Preference of three years providing Occupational Therapy services. Experience with in-home assessments and treatments; knowledge of auto insurance and the legal system, particularly medical/legal report writing is an asset. ADP is an asset.
The Occupational Therapist must demonstrate ongoing competency in completing all duties and responsibilities of this job description, in response to changes by the regulating body, as well as agreed upon specific goals and objectives.
Performance will be reviewed on an ongoing basis with a formal review if required. Input will be sought from employees and consultants at the branch and National Service Centre as applicable.
