Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or recognized equivalent.
• Registered with the College of Audiologists or Speech-Language Pathologists.
• Three years’ experience providing Speech-Language Pathology services preferred.
• Experience completing in-home assessments and treatments; knowledge of auto insurance and medical/legal report writing is an asset.
• Strong communication and interpersonal and decision-making skills.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Comprehensive Assessments: diagnose a wide range of speech, language, and communication disorders.
• Develop Tailored Treatment Plans: create and implement personalized, evidence-based therapy plans.
• Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams: work with physicians, psychologists, educators, and other professionals.
• Maintain Accurate Records: ensure meticulous and up-to-date client records, adhering to regulatory standards.
• Engage in Continuous Learning: participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
• Educate and Empower Clients: provide families with strategies to support communication and swallowing functions.

Education And Experience

• Post Secondary School: Masters Degree or recognized equivalent in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Registered and in good standing with the College of Audiologists or Speech-Language Pathologists required.
• Three years’ experience providing Speech-Language Pathology services preferred.
• Experience completing in-home assessments and treatments; knowledge of auto insurance and legal system is an asset particularly medical/legal report writing.
• Enjoy working with clients of all ages in multiple treatment environments. Strong communication (oral and written) and exceptional interpersonal and decision-making skills.
• Demonstrate basic knowledge of personal computers, and proficiency with secure email. Valid driver’s license.
