Job summary

Pomerleau's Civil & Infrastructure division is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead major construction and infrastructure initiatives ranging from $1.5 million to over $1 billion across Canada. You will collaborate with clients and subcontractors, guiding project teams to achieve objectives while upholding safety and quality.

The role emphasizes leadership, risk management, and budget control throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of project management experience in construction.
• Experience on transmission line construction projects is a strong asset.
• University degree or technical diploma in engineering or equivalent.
• Strong leadership, organizational and influencing skills.
• Knowledge of construction methods, PM practices, and safety codes.
• Experience with Primavera P6 is a significant asset.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain relationships with team members, partners, consultants and clients to meet project objectives.
• Support PM teams in developing schedules and achieving milestones.
• Manage budgets, costs and procurement activities.
• Share knowledge and mentor project team members, fostering growth.
• Lead risk management practices to minimize project risks.
• Compile and finalize corporate project reports with accuracy.

As a Project Manager within Pomerleau’s Civil & Infrastructure division, you will contribute to specialized projects. Leading major construction and infrastructure projects ranging from $1.5 million to over $1 billion, you will work closely with our clients and subcontractors while serving as an integral member of our project teams.

What You Will Do

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with team members, business partners, consultants, and clients to achieve project objectives and vision.
• Support project management teams in developing and managing construction schedules, ensuring key milestones and completion dates are met.
• Leverage your financial management expertise to plan, manage, and control project budgets, costs, and procurement activities.

Share knowledge and mentor project team members, fostering professional growth and development opportunities.

• Ensure effective risk management practices are implemented to minimize project-related risks.
• Compile and finalize corporate project reports with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Demonstrate leadership in health, safety, and environmental performance throughout the lifecycle of the project.
• Apply project-specific safety standards, promote Pomerleau’s health, safety, and environmental requirements, and ensure compliance with all applicable occupational health and safety laws, regulations, and codes.

• More than 8 years of project management experience in the construction industry.
• Experience on transmission line construction projects is considered a strong asset.
• A university degree or technical diploma in engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and industry experience.
• Exceptional leadership, organizational and influencing skills, with a proven ability to solve problems and drive successful project outcomes in complex environments.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, project management practices, financial management, construction codes, and related legislation.
• A commitment to being a champion and role model for quality and health & safety best practices.
• Experience using project scheduling software, with Primavera P6 knowledge and experience considered a significant asset.
