Job summary

Pomerleau is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager for the Building Operations team to lead large-scale building and infrastructure projects across Canada, with budgets ranging from $1.5 million to $1 billion. You will work closely with clients, subcontractors and the projects team to deliver on time and within scope.

Bring 10+ years in ICI Project Management, engineering education, and a proven track record in leadership, risk management, budgeting, and safety.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Project Management in the ICI construction industry.
• University Degree/Technology Diploma in Engineering or equivalent.
• Exceptional leadership and problem-solving skills for project success.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, financial management, building codes and legislation.
• Champion for quality and health & safety practices.
• Experience with scheduling software; knowledge of Primavera P6 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Grow and maintain relationships with team members, trade partners, consultants and clients to achieve project goals.
• Support PM teams to develop and drive the construction schedule to meet milestones.
• Plan, manage and respect project budgets, costs and purchasing.
• Mentor project team members and share knowledge.
• Mitigate project risks and minimize risks.
• Compile and complete company-wide project reports.
• Lead Health, Safety and Environmental protection on the project.
• Promote Pomerleau HS&E standards and comply with OH&S acts and codes.

As an experienced Senior Project Manager in the Building Operations team at Pomerleau Construction, you will manage large-scale building and infrastructure projects - ranging from $1.5 million to upwards of $1 billion - while working closely with our client groups and subcontractors and acting as an integral part of our projects team.

What You Will Do

• Grow and maintain strong relationships with team members, trade partners, consultants and clients to achieve the project goals and vision.
• Support your project management teams to develop and drive the construction schedule ensuring that completion dates and milestones are met.
• Apply your financial management experience to plan, manage and respect project budgets, costs and associated purchasing.
• Share your knowledge and be a role model through mentorship opportunities with project team members.
• Be an expert in risk management to ensure any associated project risk is minimized.
• Take pride in compiling and completing companywide project reports.
• Demonstrate leadership in Health, Safety and Environmental Protection on the project.
• Apply project-specific safety standards, promoting Pomerleau’s HS&E standards and complying with relevant OH&S acts, regulations, and codes universally.

This Role Could Be For You If You Have

• 10+ years’ experience in Project Management the ICI construction industry.
• University Degree/Technology Diploma in Engineering, or a combination of education and industry experience.
• Exceptional leadership, organizational prowess, influential abilities, adept problem-solving, ensuring project success amidst diverse challenges.
• Strong knowledge of construction and project methodologies, financial management, as well as building codes and associated legislation.
• Be a champion and role model for quality and all health and safety best practices.
• Experienced working with scheduling software, knowledge and experience working with P6 considered a strong asset.
