As Specialized Laborer working in the Civil and Infrastructure team at Pomerleau Construction, you will work in close collaboration with all workers. Working on large‑scale building and infrastructure projects – ranging from $1.5 million to upwards of $1 billion – you will ensure the coordination and execution of work in the civil engineering & infrastructure sector, commercial, institutional, industrial sector, heavy civil engineering & urban earthworks.

What You Will Do

• Operate a water truck safely and efficiently;
• Fill and empty the water tank according to job site needs;
• Water roads, granular materials or work areas to control dust;
• Perform daily vehicle inspections (oil levels, brakes, tires, etc.);
• Assist specialized crews and help with site work;
• Master the tools at your disposal, including a hand truck, shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows, screwdrivers, drills, jackhammers, compactor, etc.;
• With appropriate training and a valid card, the laborer may be required to use handling and motorized equipment such as forklifts, aerial work platforms, etc.;
• Adhere to safety procedures to ensure compliance with company and construction industry standards;
• Work as part of a team, maintaining a pleasant and trusting work environment, communicating effectively with colleagues and other trades on the site;
• Care for and maintain small tools and site equipment;
• Carry out all other related operational tasks.

This Role Is Made For You If You Have

• A valid CCQ occupancy card;
• A valid driver's license – Class 3;
• A 2015 ASP Construction & WHMIS card;
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position.
