Job summary

WSP Canada is seeking a Specialist, HSSEQ Investigations to lead complex investigations into health, safety, environmental and quality events, strengthening safety culture and learning across Canada. You will conduct root cause analyses, interviews, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop actionable corrective actions and ensure timely implementation across sites.

Based in Halifax, you will report to HSSEQ leadership and partner with operations and compliance teams to embed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 6–8 years of experience in investigations, root cause analysis, or similar environments.
  • Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices.
  • Demonstrated expertise in investigation techniques and analytical problem‑solving.
  • Ability to communicate complex findings clearly to diverse audiences.
  • High level of integrity, objectivity, and attention to detail.
  • Strong collaboration skills with cross‑functional teams and leadership.
  • Bilingualism in French and English (required).

Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $104,100 – $138,000

MB & ON: $95,000 – $130,800

NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $94,100 – $124,900
