Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an Electronics Manufacturing Engineer to join the Core Systems & Components group and advance electronics manufacturing processes from prototype through full-rate production.

You will collaborate with COMSEC and Electrical Hardware teams to ensure manufacturability, quality, and performance, while supporting DFMs and DFTs and maintaining strong cross-functional partnership across hardware and software teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years in electronics manufacturing engineering or similar.
• Hands-on PCB fabrication, assembly, and test experience.
• Knowledge of IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 or equivalent.
• DFM/DFT reviews experience with CAD/EDA tools.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional hardware/software teams.
• Ability to obtain and maintain US Government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead electronics manufacturing engineering activities across the full product development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with COMSEC and Electrical Hardware teams to ensure manufacturability and design compliance.
• Develop, document, and optimize manufacturing processes, work instructions, and assembly procedures.
• Drive new product introduction (NPI) and oversee the transition from prototype to full-rate production.
• Conduct design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for testability (DFT) reviews.
• Support PCB layout, fabrication, and assembly processes with internal teams and external suppliers.
• Identify and resolve manufacturing defects, process failures, and quality issues through root cause analysis.
• Partner with supply chain and procurement teams to qualify vendors and manage component sourcing.
• Ensure all manufacturing activities comply with applicable standards, specifications, and security requirements.
