The impact you'll make:

Reporting to the Director, Strategic Sourcing and Procurement, the Sourcing Manager is responsible for developing essential oils sourcing strategies, executing on essential oils sourcing initiatives, and managing essential oils activities. This position partners closely with Supply Chain, QA, RA, R&D, and Category Management as well as suppliers to ensure alignment of goals and expectations.

All Saje Team Members are responsible for contributing to Saje’s culture and maintaining a positive environment for themselves and their peers.

What you'll do:

  • Strategic sourcing: Responsible for developing essential oils sourcing strategies, executing on essential oils sourcing initiatives, and managing essential oils sourcing activities, including new product development projects (e.g., new Diffuser Blends).
  • Supplier network: Leads supplier network build-out across oil types, geographies, and competencies.
  • Stakeholder engagement: Works cross-functionally across Supply Chain, QA, RA, R&D, and Category Management teams to drive essential oils requirements from concepting to purchase order.
  • Supplier selection: Manages robust supplier selection using market analysis, leverage request for proposals (RFP/RFQs), data-driven approach, and should-cost modeling.
  • Supplier management: Ensures all suppliers selected to conduct business with Saje comply with key requirements and expectations including but not limited to having key documentation, such as NDA, Code of Conduct, and Terms and Conditions, in place and current.
  • Negotiations: Negotiates and manages commercial and pricing agreements and ensures all related terms and conditions of purchase are appropriate.
  • Business strategy: Leads regular business reviews presenting strategic sourcing plans that define, among other things, market and business analysis, product roadmaps, supplier capabilities, SWOT analysis, and strategic business objectives.
  • Value Delivery: Ensure all products sourced for Saje meet our business and cost objectives. Apply costs analysis (e.g., TCO, should-cost) to deliver optimal costs for products.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to identify, justify, and activate cost savings opportunities.

We'd love to hear from you if you hold:

  • Strong experience in sourcing and supply chain management is required.
  • Must have in-depth experience and knowledge of sourcing ingredients and/or perishable raw materials.
  • Ability and proven experience in contract negotiation and handling supplier initiatives like: cost reductions, VMI/JIT, lead-time reductions, favorable commercial terms & conditions.
  • You are known as being resourceful and willing to “figure things out” to ensure projects and functional development launch successfully and seamlessly.
  • You enjoy being the initiator and owning the end-to-end process while working in a highly cross-functional team.
  • Must have experience working in a regulated industry, with experience working with high-quality standards and compliance.
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of timelines and budgets will be essential.
  • Must have a process improvement mindset with a desire to help build processes and ways of working.
  • Must be both a strategic thinker and a tactical executer.
  • Willingness to take on new responsibilities and grow professionally while keeping up to date with industry trends.
  • Great communication and written skills: you are able to make complex topics understandable.

The compensation range for this position is from $70,000 – $90,000 annually. Base pay is dependent on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity.
