Job summary

Southlake Health in Newmarket, Ontario is seeking a Sourcing and Contracts Operation Specialist to provide purchasing and coordination support for contracts and capital purchases. The role includes supporting requisitioning and supply chain processes, plus RFQ/RFI/RFP activities under the Manager of Materials Management.

The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years in healthcare purchasing, strong Microsoft Office skills, and a CPP/CSMP/OIPMAC-like certification.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in business or a related field.
• CPP, CSMP, or OIPMAC-Purchasing certification or equivalent.
• 2-3 years of experience in healthcare purchasing and strategic sourcing.
• Proficient Microsoft Office applications.
• Project management and conflict resolution training.
• Demonstrated commitment to customer service.
• Demonstrated knowledge of McKesson Pathways Material Management is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide purchasing and coordination support to contracts and capital purchases.

About the role:

The role of Sourcing and Contracts Operation Specialist is responsible for providing purchasing and coordination support to contracts, Capital purchases, manage and support end users in the use of requisitioning and supply chain processes. This role also entails supporting Shared Service Organization reconciliations, administrative duties as required and providing Request for Proposal support and to the Manager of Materials Management which may include leading RFQ, RFI and RFP initiatives.

What you bring:

• Post-secondary education(community college)in business or a relevant field

• CPP, CSMP, or OIPMAC-Purchasing certification or equivalent

• 2-3 years’ experience in a Healthcarepurchasingand strategic sourcing environment
