Job summary

Purolator is seeking a PM Sorter in Richmond, BC (3700 Jericho Road) to sort and route freight by destination, weight, size, and shape to meet delivery schedules. The role runs Saturday to Wednesday, 12:00 PM–8:30 PM with a 30-minute unpaid break, totaling 40 hours per week.

The position offers a wage of $23.63/hour with a top rate of $29.23 under the collective agreement. No specialized education or prior experience is required, and training is provided.

• No experience necessary.
• Forklift and power pallet jack certification an asset, but not required. Company will train.

Responsibilities

• Forklift and power pallet jack use.
• Unload freight from curbside trucks onto the conveyor and from conveyor into curbside trucks.
• Unload freight off conveyor or chute for load-out.
• Load freight into linehaul / cube truck or trailer.
• Preload mail and packages into curbside delivery vehicles.
• Manually transfer bulk or non-conveyable items.
• Scan all shipped or received mail or packages to identify improperly sorted packaged mail or packages and mail marked for priority or weekend delivery.
