Job summary

Purolator in Etobicoke, ON, is hiring a PM Sorter for fixed Friday 4:00pm to 11:30pm and Sunday 12:00pm to 8:00pm (15.25 hours/week). The role sorts freight by destination, weight, size and shape to meet delivery schedules.

No prior experience required and training is provided. English proficiency is required for coordination in the warehouse environment.

• Scan all shipped or received mail or packages to identify improperly sorted items.

Description

The PM Sorter sorts and separates freight by destination, weight, size, and shape to meet client delivery schedules.

Responsibilities

• Unload freight from curbside trucks onto the conveyor and from conveyor into curbside trucks
• Unload freight off conveyor or chute for load-out
• Load freight into linehaul / cube truck or trailer
• Preload mail and packages into curbside delivery vehicles
• Manually transfer bulk or non-conveyable items
• Scan all shipped or received mail or packages to identify improperly sorted packaged mail or packages and mail marked for priority or weekend delivery.
