Job summary

Purolator is seeking an AM Sorter at our Truro facility to sort freight by destination, weight, size, and shape to meet delivery schedules. The shift runs Monday to Friday from 4:45am to 9:00am, totaling 21.25 hours per week, with a pay rate of $19.28/hour.

Responsibilities include unloading and loading freight from curbsides to conveyors and linehaul trailers, preloading mail, scanning packages, and ensuring accurate sorting for on-time deliveries. No prior experience is required.

The AM Sorter sorts and separates freight by destination, weight, size, and shape to meet client delivery schedules.

• Unload freight off conveyor or chute for load-out
• Loads freight into linehaul / cube truck or trailer
• Preload mail and packages into curbside delivery vehicles
• Manually transfer bulk or non-conveyable items
• Scan all shipped or received mail or packages to identify improperly sorted packaged mail or packages and mail marked for priority or weekend delivery
