Job summary

Valley Staffing Inc. is seeking a Material Inspector for the 2nd shift (2:30pm–11pm). Primary duties include inspecting, separating, and stacking pallets, frames, and lids, with attention to quality standards.

You will log materials on the sorting sheet, assist with inventory control, and communicate safety or quality issues to supervision. Occasional outside work and lifting up to 75 pounds are required; strong teamwork and basic hand tools knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of basic hand tools.

• Distinguishes different material and understands inventory and inventory control.
• Responds to requests for assistance in a timely manner.
• Ensure materials is logged appropriately on the sorting sheet.
• Notifies supervisor of any quality or safety issues.
• Maintains effective interpersonal working relationships and functions as a team member.
• Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies and promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Working conditions:

• Occasional outside work required
• Employees must frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds or more.
