Job summary

Sysco Canada is seeking a warehouse associate focused on accurate order picking and efficient palletizing. The role involves constant walking, standing, bending, and lifting, with a structured evening shift and a pay of $21.25 CAD per hour.

Responsibilities include organizing finished goods, maintaining cooler areas, monitoring quality, and coordinating with other stations to complete orders. Forklift and voice-directed picking experience are preferred; HS diploma or GED required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of warehouse experience.
• Ability to lift 30–60 lbs repeatedly.
• Experience with order picking and palletizing.

Job description

This position is responsible for order picking and it can be physically demanding with continual walking, standing, stretching, bending, and lifting. It also requires remembering details of products and customers’ requirements.

Shift Schedule - 06:00 p.m. - 02:30 a.m.

Pay - $21.25/hr

Responsibilities:

Palletize and effectively organize finished products.

Organize finish product cooler and put away at the end of production.

Vigilantly monitor product quality.

Coordinate with other workstations to ensure order competition.

Put away finish product and raw material at the end of the shift.

Complies with Sysco's Food Safety Policy and procedures to ensure food safety, quality and legality requirements are met.

Is willing to work safely with minimal environmental impact and understands the importance of reporting all hazards, incidents, and environmental spills immediately to their Supervisor.

Understands that they play an integral role in their own safety and that of their colleagues and is willing to speak out when hazards are present.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Equipment Operation:

Safely and efficiently operate material handling equipment such as electric pallet jacks, order pickers, and voice-directed picking systems.
Safety & Compliance:
Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately.
Teamwork:
May assist in training new selectors on safe work practices and order selection procedures.
Collaborate with other warehouse personnel to ensure smooth and efficient warehouse operations.

Skills:

Proven ability to accurately and efficiently select orders with minimal errors.

Physical Strength

Repetitive lifting from 30lbs to 60 lbs

Organize products including transportation by pallet jack in production are and wrapping pallet

Noisy environment, hearing protection provided.

Cold environment

Certifications:

Forklift certification preferred.
Voice-directed picking system training preferred.

Education:

High school diploma or GED
