Job summary

Badger Infrastructure Solutions is seeking an on-site Materials Handler to ensure materials are available for production, manage inventory with Kanban, and deliver kits to work centres on schedule. The role supports continuous improvement and safe, efficient material flow on the shop floor.

Ideal candidates will have forklift experience, basic computer skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs while maintaining accuracy in inventory transactions and schedules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with a valid driver’s license.
• Forklift and material-handling equipment experience.
• Basic computer skills, including Excel and Outlook.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control.
• Ability to read schedules, work instructions, and material requirements.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs. and work in warehouse and yard environments.
• Understanding of material flow and its impact on production efficiency.
• Experience in materials handling, manufacturing, inventory management, or lean/Kanban environments.

Job description

This position is responsible for distributing picked kits to the production floor, investigating and reporting missing materials, processing return transactions, and replenishing shop-floor inventory to support production requirements. Reporting to the Materials Supervisor, the role ensures materials are available in the right place, at the right time, while maintaining inventory accuracy and efficient material flow. The successful candidate will be adaptable to changing systems and processes, committed to continuous improvement, and understand the impact accurate inventory and material management have on production performance.

This is an hourly paid position. Compensation will be commensurate based on education and/or experience.
