Solutions Consultant - Hybrid
As Solutions Consultant, you play a key role as the primary technical resource for the sales organization, responsible for aligning Canon’s hardware and software portfolio with complex customer business requirements. The role centers on conducting deep-dive discovery and needs analysis to engineer scalable, high-impact solution architectures that optimize document workflows
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Discovery: Lead deep-dive discovery sessions with prospective clients to uncover operational pain points and document current-state workflows.
- Solution Engineering: Design custom, scalable architectures—integrating Canon’s hardware and software that directly address client business objectives.
- Technical Presentations: Deliver high-impact demonstrations and presentations, whether on-site, in-person, or via virtual showroom environments.
- Technical Validation: Own the end-to-end testing process, including the management of proof-of-concepts (PoC) and rigorous "real-world" trials.
- Sales Enablement: Act as a technical advisor to the Sales team, providing continuous mentorship and education to sharpen their prospecting skills.
- Proposal Collaboration: Partner with Sales to craft sophisticated, value-based proposals and quotes that clearly differentiate Canon’s offerings.
- Market Differentiation: Leverage an in-depth knowledge of Canon’s portfolio and service capabilities to increase competitiveness in the market.
- Implementation Oversight: Ensure the transition from sale to deployment is well-executed and meets all technical specifications.
- End-User Training: Empower client teams through professional hardware and software training to ensure high adoption rates.
- Account Growth: Proactively participate in customer account reviews to identify further hardware and software optimization opportunities.
To Succeed, You Will Need
- Fully bilingual French and English is required
- Employee’s Degree or Vocational or Technical School Degree in Computer Science (ESG), or Colour Management (IPG) is required. Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
- 3-5 years of related work experience is required
- Refined analytical skills are required to review customer needs/issues, costs, efficiencies; analyze workflows; and determine appropriate solutions
- Refined project/process management skills are required to collaborate with multiple stakeholders to drive documented scope of work processes
- Refined experience with SalesForce and Print Fleet
- Refined equipment/software operation skills are required to use Therefore, Uniflow, VMWare, and BSD product portfolio
- Intermediate time management/multi-tasking skills are required to balance the needs of multiple stakeholders and respond to all inquiries

- This position offers a Hybrid work schedule. You will be required to be in the office Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays each week, with the ability to work from home for the remainder of the week (subject to specific business needs requiring office attendance)

- Compensation Range: $71,300 – $82,000 annually
