Are you passionate about solving complex challenges, working with innovative technologies, and supporting clients on their journey to success? As a Solution Consultant, you'll play a pivotal role in pre-sales and client engagement by identifying needs, designing tailored solutions, and demonstrating the value of our offerings. You’ll collaborate closely with sales, product, and technical teams to translate business objectives into impactful technology solutions, becoming a trusted advisor for our clients.

What will your primary responsibilities look like?
In this role, you will be led to:
- Collaborate with Account Executives on qualified opportunities to uncover customer business objectives, pain points and project requirements.
- Develop winning sales strategies and presentations for prospects by leveraging best practices and industry expertise.
- Present the value of the mdf solutions through sophisticated and collaborative demos.
- Develop high-quality, functional responses to RFPs and support all functional and technical activities throughout the sales cycle.
- Work effectively with other parts of the organization, including Product Management and R&D, to support ongoing product improvements based on feedback from prospects and customers.
- Demonstrate an understanding of client business processes through presentations, demonstrations and RFx response development.
- Act as a functional expert for sales directors and account executives.
- Meet regularly with field sales executives to develop strategies for building pipelines, working on specific opportunities, and closing business.
- Develop excellent working relationships with all executives and staff, supported by the above.
- Participate in weekly sales calls with executive management as needed.
What elements of your professional background will be necessary and valuable in this role?
- Knowledge or experience in Procurement, Finance, and Supply Chain functions.
- Knowledge or experience with SaaS and Cloud-Based applications.
- Experience working with the U.S. or Canadian public sector is an asset.
- Able to articulate the value of and sell SaaS/Cloud-Based applications.
- You stay current on the solution roadmap and competitive offers to improve your industry knowledge.
- Strong proficiency in the MS Office suite and other software tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to travel as needed.
- Commitment to company values and understanding of our corporate purpose.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills require analysis, positioning, business justification, and closing techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems with prospective clients in complex environments.
- Planning: an ability to think ahead and plan for the short and long term.
- Management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
- Problem analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Required: Authorized to work in Canada – unfortunately, we cannot sponsor work visas or transfers now.
What are the assets that would make you stand out?
- Public sector experience (state and local government).
