Job description

Overview:

Our client is a prominent, publicly traded corporate organization with a diverse portfolio of business units across North America. They are seeking a Solutions Analyst to join their central corporate IT team, focusing on the design, development, and support of modern digital workplace solutions. Operating in a hands‑on capacity, this role bridges the gap between operational needs and technical execution. The ideal candidate will leverage business analysis expertise, stakeholder engagement, and strong technical capability in Microsoft 365 platforms to build secure, scalable solutions that streamline operations and drive measurable business value.

What you will be doing:
  • Translate operational challenges into functional designs, technical specifications, and working software solutions.

  • Build, test, and deploy custom applications, automated workflows, collaborative spaces, and structured data repositories using Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft Lists.

  • Lead stakeholder discovery sessions, solution demonstrations, design reviews, and user acceptance testing across both technical and business groups.

  • Engage directly with end users and IT teams to identify operational requirements, document processes, and clarify project scopes prior to build execution.

  • Author clear end-user documentation, training guides, technical solution architectures, and standard support materials.

  • Implement practices to optimize how organizational data and information are structured, secured, retained, and accessed.

  • Deliver tier-2/3 user support, system troubleshooting, and solution maintenance while actively promoting platform adoption and user enablement.

  • Identify operational bottlenecks and recommend continuous improvement opportunities to reduce manual effort and maximize software investments.

What you must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).

  • 3+ years of progressive hands‑on experience designing and building solutions within a Microsoft 365 / Power Platform environment.

  • Proven experience in business analysis, requirement gathering, and technical documentation creation.

  • Strong expertise in technical design, problem‑solving, and workflow automation.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technology concepts to non‑technical partners.

  • Demonstrated ability to balance operational constraints, user requests, system maintainability, and security standards.

  • Eligibility for occasional regional travel across Canada and the United States.

  • Microsoft certifications in Power Platform, SharePoint, or modern workplace technology are considered a strong asset.
