Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Microsoft Modern Workplace / Power Platform Consultant to optimize documentation, workflows, and reporting across the organization.

You will assess the current Microsoft 365 environment, improve SharePoint governance and structure, and build automated processes with Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI for better visibility and audit readiness. This is a 6-month contract with high extension potential, fully remote across Canada.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
• Advanced SharePoint Online experience, including architecture, document management, permissions, metadata, and governance.
• Hands-on experience with Power Automate.
• Working experience with Power BI.
• Experience designing and automating business workflows.
• Experience integrating Power Platform solutions with enterprise applications or ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Assess and improve existing SharePoint Online sites, document libraries, permissions, and overall structure.
• Standardize project documentation and establish effective document management and governance practices.
• Improve audit readiness by ensuring documentation is organized, traceable, properly controlled, and easily accessible for audit and compliance requirements.
• Design and implement solutions using Power Apps and Power Automate to streamline workflows, approvals, document routing, and access controls.
• Integrate Microsoft-based workflows with ERP and other enterprise systems, reducing reliance on manual email and Excel processes.
• Develop and enhance Power BI dashboards and reporting to improve visibility into projects, workflows, approvals, and operational metrics.

This individual will evaluate the current Microsoft environment, improve the structure and governance of SharePoint, and leverage the Power Platform to automate manual processes and improve reporting and visibility. The ideal candidate is hands-on technically but also comfortable assessing an existing environment and recommending a better approach. This is starting as a 6 month contract with high chance of extensions, fully remote across Canada.

Pay Rate: 50-65 / hour
