Job summary

Prophix is seeking a Solution Engineer to drive presales engagements in Canada. You will solve complex financial planning and consolidation challenges, deliver compelling platform demos, and configure tailored proofs-of-concept for prospects.

You will collaborate with Sales and Professional Services to ensure a smooth post-sale transition. You will communicate technical concepts to finance and business leaders, learn rapidly, and apply AI-driven insights to improve outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience with at least 3 years in Prospect-facing Presales roles.
• Strong understanding of FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting or financial consolidation.
• Experience delivering product demonstrations to business and technical stakeholders.
• Post-Secondary Degree in Accounting, Business, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience analyzing and/or manipulating large data sets.
• Able to articulate concepts and business benefits to diverse audiences.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for senior leaders.
• Comfort using AI tools to support tasks such as research or data review.

Responsibilities

• Deliver tailored presentations and demonstrations showcasing our platform.
• Configure proofs-of-concept addressing prospect needs to prove Prophix value.

• Serve as the technical trusted advisor guiding evaluation and architecture considerations.
• Develop proposals communicating customer requirements to Professional Services for post-sales transition.
• Identify and demonstrate additional use cases to drive incremental value.

A Solution Engineer is a dynamic individual with a strong ability to solve problems creatively, quickly, and distill information to customers in an impactful manner. The position will report to the Director of Solution Engineering and will work extensively with various internal and external clients.

What You Will Do

• Lead consultative discussions with Finance and Accounting stakeholders on Financial Performance Management processes, including FP&A, consolidation, and close, to uncover business challenges and solution requirements.
• Deliver tailored presentations and demonstrations showcasing our platform to help execute the technical aspects of the account strategy.
• Configure POCs that address specific prospect or customer needs to prove Prophix is uniquely positioned to solve their challenges.
• Partner closely with Sales to develop and execute deal strategies, providing technical expertise throughout the sales cycle.
• Serve as the technical trusted advisor, guiding prospective customers through evaluation, architecture considerations, and best practices.
• Develop proposals and communicate customer’s business & technical requirements to Professional Services team to ensure a smooth transition to post-sales.
• Support account expansion opportunities by identifying and demonstrating additional use cases to drive incremental value for customers.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience with at least 3 years in Prospect-facing Presales roles; experience in finance systems implementation is considered an asset.
• Strong understanding of financial processes including FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and/or financial consolidation
• Experience delivering product demonstrations and technical presentations to business and technical stakeholders
• Post-Secondary Degree in Accounting, Business, Engineering, or related field
• Experience in analyzing and / or manipulating large data sets
• Able to clearly articulate concepts and business benefits to technical and non-technical audiences
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage senior finance and business leaders.
• Demonstrated experience designing re-usable processes & solutions (e.g. Excel models, automation scripts, ETL processes, etc.)
• Proven ability to quickly learn new technology, its benefits, and how it can be leveraged to achieve business goals & objectives
• Comfort using AI tools responsibly to support tasks such as research, drafting, or data review
• Collaborative mindset when working with teams and technology
• Must be legally entitled to work in the country where this role is located

Compensation

The total target compensation for this role is $150,000 CAD to $190,000 CAD, in accordance with applicable pay transparency laws in Canada and the United States. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, experience, location, and internal equity.
