About The Position

Thread seeks an expert in solar asset inspections, damage assessment, and review workflows. This contractor will serve as our internal domain authority, providing critical insights for designing an automated inspection product for solar assets.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the product team to validate requirements, designs, and specifications against real-world solar inspection practices.
• Participate in sprint reviews and provide feedback to support agile development.
• Work with the ML team to provide input on damage types, severity levels, and classifications for automated detection models.

Requirements

• Expert-level experience in solar farm inspection and damage assessment, including defect identification, severity classification, and maintenance implications.
• Strong background in solar asset review workflows, inspection reporting, damage documentation, and maintenance prioritization.
• Knowledge of solar farm operations, including O&M practices, performance monitoring, and asset management.
• Experience working with product teams or in a technical consultancy role preferred.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate technical requirements to non-technical stakeholders.
